Some Ideas
As a seventh grade reading teacher, one of the many things that I have noticed about my students is their lack of enthusiasm for reading during their middle school years. I have created this blog as a way for my seventh graders to share what they are reading with one another. I think that when my students create their own blogs and post their reactions to what they are reading, they will see who has similar interests to them and have something to read that is of interest to them. I plan to post what I'm reading as well so that my students can see what I am reading!

Awesome idea! I think your kids will love this. This is also a great idea to keep your kids reading through the Summer. :)
ReplyDeleteHey Kelly! So exciting to have our own blog, huh? I'm a nerd, I know. lol. :)
ReplyDeleteYou students must love you!
ReplyDeleteI think this sounds like a cool idea, and I'm wondering how this might work with my new 9th grade classes!
ReplyDeleteWe should hang out sometime. You seem like a pretty cool person.
ReplyDeleteHey, GJ, I know her. Want me to hook you up?
ReplyDeleteHave you read _The Book Whisperer_? I bet you'd enjoy it.
ReplyDelete(Stay away from that GJ person...he looks a little creepy.)
This is a great idea. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read The Book Whisperer, but I'll have to add it to my Goodreads!
ReplyDeleteYour students will think this is awesome!
ReplyDeleteNice to see a blog coming out of a Summer Institute.
ReplyDeleteTake care
